Job description

Are you organised, friendly and good at juggling priorities?  Are you discreet when sensitive issues arise?  Do you have a good instinct for what is and isn’t important?  Are you looking for a part time, remote role with flexiblity on time of day worked?  Then read on….
Inclusion Barnet, a local Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation, has been through a period of rapid growth over the past three years, and our CEO’s inbox has expanded accordingly.  Your ability to sift this efficiently, deleting or filing what she doesn’t need to see and prioritising what she does, will be key to enabling her to optimise her effectiveness going forwards.  You’ll also play a role in her diary management, meeting preparation and in creating presentations as required.  Whilst this is a very part time role for now, the ability to take on a few more hours if the role expands in the future would be advantageous.
Key to all this will be the ability to familiarise yourself with a complex workload and our CEO’s priorities within that, a friendly and responsive approach to our stakeholders, and a passion for supporting our wider mission and the disability rights agenda.
In return, the successful candidate will become part of a friendly and supportive team, working within a focused but flexible culture, where diversity is valued, and you can bring your whole self to work.
This is a remote role, and there is some flexibility on working patterns which will be by mutual agreement.  Lived experience of disability, which could include a long-term health or mental health condition, will be needed to successfully deliver the role. We also welcome applications from Black, Asian and other minoritised candidates, who are currently underrepresented in our organisation.
To apply, please submit your CV with a brief covering letter clearly stating how you meet the person specification and how you would use your lived experience of disability to successfully deliver the role.  We expect a lot of interest in this opportunity, so please apply straight away if you are interested as it is likely to close early.
