Our two Inclusion Barnet libraries, New Barnet and South Friern, offer a great opportunity for volunteering – working with the public, gaining customer service and library skills, making friends and contributing to the community. Many of our volunteers have gone onto or returned to paid employment after spending time with us, though we also have many volunteers who are retired. Others have gone into education or other volunteering roles. Our volunteers represent the diverse population of Barnet as a whole and we welcome volunteers with additional needs.
