Kate joined Inclusion Barnet in January 2026 as part of our Touchpoint team.

Kate has worked as a benefit adviser since 2021 and prior to that worked voluntarily in a range of community-based roles.

Kate is a full-time wheelchair user and is passionate about raising awareness of the social model of disability. As someone who was repeatedly told that she would never obtain paid employment, Kate wants to show that anything is possible if societal barriers are removed.

Kate hopes that her work will enable other Disabled people to feel listened to and supported as they navigate the benefit system.
