We want to hear...

Reads: Free members' meeting: how the cost of living is affecting disabled people. 27 September, 2-3:30pm, Inclusion Barnet Offices and on Zoom. Free lunch provided.

Join our meeting to share your experiences of the cost of living for disabled people and learn what support is out there for you. Register for the in person or online event for free today.

You can’t go a day without hearing about the cost of living crisis, but for disabled people it’s particularly bad.

A recent survey found that the majority of disabled people live in poverty; 57% of us have an annual household income below the UK poverty line.

Our most recent member’s meeting also found that the cost of living was the number one concern for the vast majority of people we spoke to.

So, that’s why we’re holding an event to gather the opinions of disabled people in Barnet, to reflect your concerns to local decision makers and councillors. We’ll also be joined by guest speakers from local organisations, who will provide you with resources that can help you keep your cost of living down.

The meeting will be open to disabled people in Barnet and their carers, whether you’re a member of Inclusion Barnet or not.
