Three new funding opportunities for Barnet VCFSEs
The Barnet Together Partnership with our wider Alliance partner, Barnet Council, are delighted to announce three new funds for Barnet’s Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector, and to remind you of some other existing funding available to you.
New Funding for Barnet’s VCFSE
Barnet Community Fund – Main and Small Grants
Deadline: 23:59, Sunday 20th November 2022
The Barnet Together partnership is pleased to be able to bring to the VCFSE Sector in Barnet a Main Grant Fund for 2022 of £300,000 to support the sector in Barnet support the communities it serves, especially focused on the Cost of Living Crisis and Covid recovery.
The Main Grant fund is inviting applications for between £7,000 and £10,000 for the Large Award and up to £1,000 for the Small Award, with a total pot £300k available.
A number of existing services and are funded by Barnet Council to assist with the Cost of Living Crisis and this fund does not seek to duplicate those existing services. Rather, this fund seeks to work with Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise organisations to see where they can provide additional support.

Barnet Community Innovation Fund Round 3
Deadline: 5pm, Wednesday 30th November 2022
Small and Main Grants will be available for Barnet VCFSEs to run innovative new projects addressing the cost of living crisis and its impact on health and health services.
The fund’s key objectives are to support:
- the range of early intervention and prevention projects
- the development of stronger and more resilient sector
- the development of collaborative partnerships
- residents most disproportionately impacted by health inequalities

Winter Festival Event Funding
Ongoing applications. Apply at least 4 weeks before event date.
Following the success of making funding available for Barnet VCFSEs to host community events for Black History Month, Barnet Council now accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for community groups to host Winter Festival events. These can be faith, cultural or community based.
Groups must send the completed application to community@barnet.gov.uk at least four weeks before their event. Events can be from December to February.

– The 2022 Micro Fund – inviting applications to cover training and development.
– 2022 Main Grant is now open and accepting applications from Young Barnet Foundation members.
Barnet VCFSE Ukrainian Support Grant
Open Now. Ongoing Expressions of Interest (EOI)
Barnet based VCFSE organisations can apply for funding to support work with Ukrainian guests and their hosts in Barnet.

Area Committee Funding from Barnet Council
What you need to do…
- Find your local Barnet Councillor
- Invite your local councillors to see your work/project in action, and discuss with them your needs.
- Each Councillor can take forward one application to the area committee meetings: The next meetings are in January 2023: check here for dates.
- If they agree to take your application forward, you will work with them to complete a form/provide background information to support their ‘sponsorship’ of the application.

Crowdfund Barnet
Do you have a specific project you need funding for? Then consider crowdfunding.
Crowdfunding via Spacehive’s Crowdfund Barnet also gives you the opportunity to get up to £5,000 match-funding from Barnet Council.
