Listen to Act Legacy

Prior to merging with Inclusion Barnet in 2025, Listen to Act was founded as Healthwatch Central West London in 2012 to improve health and care services by championing the views of local people in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, and Fulham & Hammersmith.

In September 2022, Listen to Act launched as an independent charity to help health and care leaders facilitate inclusive conversations with patients, residents, and carers using tailored community engagement programme. Its legacy includes work with young people, such as: building relationships between young people with type 1 diabetes and St Mary’s Hospital staff, empowering young people to shape GP services in Enfield and developing health research in schools to improve student wellbeing. Other legacy projects include bringing GP Practice staff and patients closer together through organised and ongoing listening and engagement, engaging with the Bangladeshi community in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea to explore vaccine hesitancy, and The Voice Exchange, a pioneering new engagement method.

With a shared commitment to community inclusion and advocacy, Listen to Act merged with Inclusion Barnet in 2025.
