How can we help?

Support for your organisation

Inclusion Barnet’s Community Organisation Support team are here to help in any way we can to support your organisation* adapt and thrive in this ever-changing landscape.

Please book in for a one-to-one chat with our Membership Development Officers by emailing us at: communitysupport@inclusionbarnet.org.uk

Our Membership Development Officers can serve as a valuable second pair of eyes, reviewing your grant application before submission, to make sure they are as strong as possible. They can also provide fresh insights on fund raising strategies, whether from individuals or businesses. Our partners at the Young Barnet Foundation manage The Barnet Community Fund, which has handed out grants to more than 130 local voluntary organisations since the pandemic began in March 2020. Find out more about the fund and consider making a donation to support local organisations in the borough.

They are available via email, phone or videocall.

  • Discover what networking and partnership opportunities there are
  • Discuss the ways organisations can raise funds and which might work best for particular projects
  • Research and share grant funding opportunities & guide you through making a funding application
  • Help in setting up a new project and/or organisation
  • Offer support and guidance on any organisational development needs such as: profile raising, finding new audiences or business planning
  • And much more…

Barnet Together is a partnership established in 2018 between Young Barnet Foundation, Volunteering Barnet and Inclusion Barnet. Barnet Together is a free capacity building support service for the borough’s Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. It supports local VCFSEs with funding, training, resources and advice, and offers a platform for stronger sector representation, voice and connection. Barnet Together services are available to all members of Young Barnet Foundation, Volunteering Barnet and Inclusion Barnet, with each partner organisation bringing their own specialisms, knowledge and assets.

Need legal assistance?

If you have a legal query you can’t resolve then you can book a 15-minute conversation with solicitors Russell-Cooke, who are offering Barnet-based Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to this free and confidential telephone support service.

They can’t look at any documents, but can offer initial guidance on any legal issues, and suggest next steps.

Email our Community Organisation Support team communitysupport@inclusionbarnet.org.uk who will put you in touch with them

Do your beneficiaries need financial support?

Head on over to our news post on ‘Where to find support for those affected by the rise in the cost of living’ which provides a wealth of local and national resources which may be of use to both you as an organisation and those you are supporting at this time. If you are aware of any additional support available, particularly locally, then do let us know, email our Community Organisation Support team: communitysupport@inclusionbarnet.org.uk

Closer to home, our colleagues here at Inclusion Barnet, run the Benefits Advice Service as part of Touchpoint. This service is for people who live or work in Barnet and are disabled (including those with physical impairments, mental health problems, learning disabilities, neurodivergence and long-term conditions); and are finding it difficult to navigate the benefits system or applications process. Do spread the word on this valuable support service.
