Disabled people in Barnet are being invited to join four two-hour long workshops with the architects who are designing part of the new Burnt Oak Town Centre and Watling Avenue. In return participants will receive a £30 Love2Shop voucher for each workshop.
Erect Architecture want to hear directly from disabled people to ensure the new street design is accessible, enjoyable to spend time in and meets the needs of disabled people. They have asked Inclusion Barnet members who are interested to contribute views. The workshops will be coordinated by Inclusion Unlimited, which is the trading arm of Inclusion Barnet and staffed by disabled people.
This is a great opportunity for disabled people in Barnet to be involved in shaping the design of our future town centre to be more accessible.

Your feedback will go to the architects and Barnet Council. All the workshops will be led by disabled people and attended by Erect Architecture.
Workshop 1
When: Tuesday 26th July 2022
Where: Meet at Burnt Oak Library
What time: Arrive any time between 12.30pm and 1.30pm
Other details: Return to Burnt Oak library after your site visit to give your feedback and pick up your voucher.

We hope you’ll be able to attend all four workshops and will try to accommodate everyone’s diaries. The first workshop is already arranged as above however.
You will be renumerated for your time with a £30 Love2Shop voucher for each workshop you attend. Each workshop will be around 2 hours.
