23rd September 2020, London – Barnet Together’s autumn fundraising sessions are now open for registration. Led by experienced fundraisers Ellen Cheshire and Ruth Mulandi, and offered through Inclusion Barnet, the free sessions are open to charities, voluntary and community groups based in or serving Barnet. The first course, Introduction to Fundraising, will run on Tuesday 29th September with subsequent sessions running across October. A full schedule of the sessions as well as links to register interest in attending can be found here. The organisers anticipate that demand for the sessions will be high and recommend that organisations register promptly.
“Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund we have been able to develop and offer these crucial fundraising sessions, designed specifically to help organisations and support them during what has been an incredibly difficult time,” said Ellen Cheshire, Fundraising and Organisational Development Advisor, Inclusion Barnet. “The sessions are free and cover a wide range of topics and experience levels. I look forward to facilitating the sessions, sharing what I know, hearing from attendees and hopefully helping them as they serve the borough of Barnet.”
The Free fundraising sessions form part of Barnet Together’s commitment to support Barnet community groups with training, resources as well as organisational and voluntary support. A collaboration between Inclusion Barnet, Volunteering Barnet and the Young Barnet Foundation, Barnet Together unites local people, charities and businesses, strengthening local partnerships across the Borough. Also part of the Barnet Together support for organisations, free, confidential one on one fundraising meetings are also available through Inclusion Barnet. Those interested in more information on a one to one meeting with Ellen can email her directly at Ellen@inclusionbarnet.org.uk.
