Statement from Inclusion Barnet about the fire at local Jewish supermarket

Inclusion Barnet stands in solidarity with everyone in our local community affected by the fire in Golders Green, at Kosher Kingdom supermarket.

Thank you to the 100 firefighters bravely working to stop the flames, and our thoughts to the thousands of residents forced to keep windows and doors shut to protect from smoke, despite challenging summer temperatures.

Inclusion Barnet CEO Caroline Collier said:

“We’re glad that nobody has been hurt in today’s accident in Golders Green, but the fire is about more than losing a building. It’s a business, a workplace, and a place for Jewish people and many others to come together.

Sadly, this isn’t the first fire Kosher Kingdom has faced. We hope they will be able to rebuild and restore just as they have before, remaining a place for everyone in Barnet who loves good food.”
