Easter 2026 closure and sources of support
Over the Easter Bank Holiday break we will be completely closed from Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April and will open again on Tuesday 7 April 2026.
During this time we’ll be unable to respond to your queries, but if you’re in need of urgent support, please have a look at the resources below.
If your life or someone else’s life is at risk right now
If you or someone else feel in need of urgent medical help, might attempt suicide, or may have seriously self-harmed, please contact emergency services as follows:
- call 999 for an ambulance
- go straight to A&E, if you can
Both of these services are open 24/7
If you can’t do this by yourself, ask someone to help you. Mental health emergencies are serious. You’re not wasting anyone’s time.
If you’re in crisis:
- NHS mental health crisis service: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can contact the NHS mental health crisis service by calling 111 and selecting option 2. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
If you need someone to talk to
- Contact Samaritans on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org. The phone line is open 24/7, and Samaritans aims to respond to emails within 24 hours. Find out more about Samaritans.
- Text SHOUT to 85258. This Crisis Text line is open 24/7, and aims to respond to messages within five minutes.
If you are worried about domestic abuse
- Contact the National Domestic Abuse Helpline or phone them on 0808 2000 247. The Helpline is open 24/7. The availability of other contact methods varies; please visit the above link for further information.
If you need general medical help – dial 111
- NHS 111 can book patients to be seen at their local A&E or Urgent treatment centre, emergency dental services, pharmacy or other more appropriate local service as well as send an ambulance should the patient’s condition be serious or life threatening. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
If you don’t have enough food
