Ellen Cheshire has joined the Inclusion Barnet team as Fundraising and Organisational Development Advisor. In her new position, Ellen will offer free advice and assistance to voluntary community organisations based and operating in Barnet.
“So many community organisations have been hit hard in recent months as Covid-19 has devastated funding opportunities and fundamentally changed group operations. Experienced in working with community organisations of all sizes, Ellen is available via email, phone or videocall to:
- Discuss the various way organisations can raise funds and which might work best for particular projects
- Research and share grant funding opportunities
- Guide organisations and individuals through making funding applications
- Offer support and guidance on any organisational development needs, such as profile raising or business planning
Ellen’s role is offered through Barnet Together, supporting the vital role that voluntary sector organisations and volunteers play in our vibrant and expanding borough.

Ellen joined Inclusion Barnet in July 2020 to work for Barnet Together as their Fundraising and Organisational Development Advisor, in November she moved into a new position as Voluntary and Community Sector Support Lead.
Ellen has worked in the arts, heritage and charity sector for 30+ years, in Fundraising, Marketing and Project Management roles. She is keen to use her experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to provide support, advice and resources for Barnet’s voluntary, community. faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations.
